TALKING LANGUAGE: GERMAN

You need to introduce yourself in German. Some things that you could include in your short speech are: name, age, school year, name of your school, number of sisters or brothers, pets, and some information about your hobbies.

TASK 1
Introduce yourself in German
 

Now your partner will ask you some questions to get to know you better. You need to listen to them carefully and then answer in German. You should try to make your answers as long as possible, do not worry if you do not cover all the tasks!

 
TASK 2
Your partner will ask you some questions about your hobbies.
TASK 3
Now you will be asked some questions about your family
TASK 4
To finish, you will get some questions about your school
 
 

TALKING LANGUAGE: ENGLISH

Now your partner will introduce herself / himself in English. You will need to listen carefully and then ask her/him some questions in English.

 
TASK 5
Listen to your partner’s presentation.
TASK 6
Now you need to ask your partner some questions in English about her/his hobbies.

These are some ideas:
Sports: Does your partner like sports? Which ones? Where? How often?
Music: What genres does your partner like? What are their favourite bands/singers? What concerts have they gone to? Do they sing? Do they play any instruments?
Reading: Does your partner like reading? What book are they currently reading? What are their favourite books? When do they read/ do they have enough time? Have they read any books in English/ would they like to read books in English?

TASK 7
Now ask some questions about her/his family.

Some ideas are:
Does your partner have siblings? How many? How old are they? How do they get along? What activities do they do as a family?

TASK 8
And now ask a few questions about his/her school.

Some ideas are:
Where is their school? What is it like (new? old? big? small?) How many students in the school? How big is your partner’s class? How many classes in a year group? What are the school’s facilities like?
